Libeeti Frenkel and her beautiful card.

Hello!
It's time for the second project by our talented Guest Designer Libeeti. She has a beautiful card for you with a videotutorial.

Witajcie!
Czas na drugi projekt od naszej utalentowanej Gościnnej Projektantki Libeeti. Ma dla Was piękną kartkę z videokursem.

Hello to you all! it's Libeeti here again, as Guest Designer, and this time I would like to share with you a birthday card I've made with the gorgeous 13@rts products.

I love using 13@rts stencils, as they're thick and so great to use.
You should try the different effects using the 13@rts mists, color glow, paints, etc. You can use them plain or add water and dilute them. You'll get different shades of the same color.

Here' are some close-ups on the details:

You can see my creative process in the video:

Altered Bottle with Shona

Hello 13@rts Fans!!  Shona here today with a fun altered bottle. I love to save cool looking bottles and create something new. All product links at the bottom of the post.

To start I did two coats of 13 Arts White Gesso on the bottle. For the second layer I  used a small sponge to give it a textured look.

Next I made a mixture of Clear Crackle Glaze, Modeling Paste and Magic Powder to thicken it up. I applied this on sections of the bottle and let it dry overnight. This will give me a crackle texture in the background.

While I wait, I picked out my flowers and applied a coat of white Gesso to them. Some dark colored flowers will need a second coat. This is going to protect the flowers from soaking up the mist.

After I adhered the flowers to the bottle it was time to add the mists. I did this by applying the Mists with a paintbrush and using a water brush to move and soften the colors. I used Ayeeda Chalk Mists in Yellow Amber, Dark Brown and Woodbine. Dry between colors and layers. This can be a long process with all the drying but I used a heat tool to help. I added extra layers of color where needed.

After I was happy with the color I added my Glass Miscrospheres and Mica flakes with some Gel Medium. Lastly I did some dry brushing on the flowers and Microspheres with white Gesso, to add some softness and blend the project together.

That is it for me today, I hope you try to alter a bottle, I know I will do more in the future… Take care and happy scrapping!!

Mixed Media Fairy House with a video tutorial by Monika

Witajcie! Przygotowałam dla Was specjalny projekt altered art z mnóstwem detali.  Zrobiłam leśny domek rodem z krainy wróżek. Dodatkowo powstał film video z procesu tworzenia. Bazą był domek-półka naklejony na plastry drewna. Jeśli jesteście ciekawi jak wyglądał proces tworzenia od kuchni, to zapraszam Was do obejrzenia filmu :)

Hello! I have prepared for you a special altered art project with lots of details. I made a forest house straight from the land of fairies. In addition, a I made a video tutorial with the making process. The base was a house shaped shelf on the slices of wood. If you are interested in the process of creating from the backstage looked like, then I invite you to watch the video :)

Grzybki zrobiłam własnoręcznie z masy plastycznej Fimo Air. Jestem z nich bardzo zadowolona bo wyszły jak prawdziwe. Mech imituje zielony chrobotek.

I made the mushrooms myself with Fimo Air plastic. I am very happy with them because they came out as real. Reindeer moss imitates the undergrowth.

"Sinfonia" A Doll Paint by Kaity Paltridge

Hello 13 Arts friends. I have spent the weekend with my daughter as she has been visiting me from Melbourne. We did a little bit of shopping on Saturday morning and we came across (somehow) the doll section in the department store.

She said to me "Oh mum I've always wanted try and do a doll paint, I've seen them on Youtube and they look amazing. Can we buy a doll?". It was like she was 7 years old again not 23!

As soon as we got home she raided my studio and picked out all the mediums she could use to decorate her doll. A full list of the products she used is at the end of this post.

She had chosen the Monster High doll Frankie Stein because of her gorgeous mermaid tail. Here is what the doll looks like when you buy it from the store. It cost us about $16 AUD

She got decapitated pretty early on in the process!

But it was absolutely worth it because this is how she turned out in the end.

Many layers of Ayeeda paint and Shiny Powder created a fabulous mystical look over the top of the pearls and micro spheres on her torso and forehead.

Hexagonal black sequins adorn her hair line as well as under her chin to give the idea of scales growing on her skin.

Ayeeda paint very carefully and skilfully applied to her face and body to transform her features.

Dusted wings! Transformed from the bright blue they were originally using some 13 Arts gesso and shiny powder, glitter and micro-spheres.

Pearl shiny powder to giver her face a shimmer.

I think she is simply beautiful and I am so proud of my very talented daughter for creating her. The transformation is AMAZING!

My daughter is such a talented girl. She's inspired me to give this a go one day. I think next up a vampire!
